How do I identify a BEFRAG injector?
Check the BEFRAG part number stamped on the injector body. Cross-reference it with the OEM number in our BEFRAG Number Reference (PDF).
What is the difference between HEUI and EUI injectors?
HEUI uses engine oil pressure to actuate the injector. EUI uses a cam-driven plunger. They are not interchangeable, so confirm which system the engine runs before ordering.
What is the difference between A seat and B seat nozzles?
A seat and B seat refer to the nozzle seat angle. Using the wrong seat type causes compression leaks and poor combustion.
Installation
What torque should I use for BEFRAG injectors?
Always follow the engine manufacturer's torque specification. BEFRAG publishes no separate figure, and the engine specification already accounts for the injector clamp and seat geometry.
Can I reuse copper washers?
No. Always use new copper washers. A reused washer is already crushed, so it no longer seals at the correct thickness and can cause compression leaks.
Do I need to lubricate the control valve before installation?
Yes. Lubricate with clean diesel before assembly.
Diagnostics
How do I check solenoid resistance?
Use a multimeter. Compare against BEFRAG specification. Replace if out of range.
What causes control valve sticking?
Particle contamination. Clean the valve bore and replace the fuel filter.
What causes excessive injector back leakage?
Worn nozzle needle, damaged seat, or internal control valve leakage.
Warranty
What warranty do you offer?
BEFRAG products carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing and material defects.
What is not covered by warranty?
Damage from improper installation, contaminated fuel, incorrect torque, or reuse of old seals.
How do I submit a warranty claim?
Complete the Warranty Claim Form and email it to [email protected] with photos and the batch label reference.
